Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This policy explains how CERTA& Advisory (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you visit certaadvisory.com or studyabroad.certaadvisory.com (together, the “website”), or contact us through it. Information we handle for clients as part of an engagement is covered by that engagement’s terms, not by this policy.
Who we are
CERTA& Advisory, 81/A Kakrail, Dhaka-1000, Bangladesh. We are responsible for the personal information described here. For any privacy question or request, email info@certaadvisory.com.
What we collect
When you contact us
If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we receive your name, contact details and whatever you choose to tell us. We use this only to reply to you and, if you go ahead, to set up our services or your study abroad application.
When you visit the website (all visitors)
We measure visits in a way that does not use cookies and does not identify you: the pages you view, the site that referred you, your approximate country, and your device and browser type. We also count clicks on our contact links (email, phone, WhatsApp) and job links, so we know which parts of the site are useful.
When you visit the website (only if you allow cookies)
If you click Allow on our cookie banner, we also use an analytics service that shows us how visitors use our pages: clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, which we review as anonymised session recordings and heatmaps. Anything typed into a field is masked and not recorded. This service uses cookies to recognise your visits over time. If you click Decline, it does not run.
Job applications
Our job links take you to our hiring partner, PreCognise. Applications are made on their platform and are covered by their privacy policy.
Why we use it
- Replying to enquiries and providing services: to take steps you ask for before a contract, and our legitimate interest in running our business.
- Cookie-free visit measurement: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our website.
- Cookie-based analytics: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Cookies
We only use cookies for analytics, and only after you allow them.
| What | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your cookie choice (stored in your browser) | Remembers whether you allowed or declined cookies, so we don’t ask on every visit | Until you clear your browser data |
| Analytics cookies (only if you allow) | Recognise return visits and link the pages you view in one visit | Up to 1 year |
To change your choice, use (also in the footer of every page). You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and our business: our website hosting and visit-measurement provider, our analytics provider (only if you allow cookies), and our email provider. They handle it on our behalf, and some may also process it under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
International transfers
Our providers may store or process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, then deleted unless we must keep it for legal or accounting reasons.
- Visit measurement: held only as totals, not linked to you.
- Cookie-based analytics: kept by our provider for up to 13 months, then deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the UK and the EU, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to send it to you in a portable format. You can withdraw consent to cookies at any time. To make a request, email info@certaadvisory.com. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to your data protection regulator: in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk); in the EU, the authority in your country.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
